🧒 StageX Academy is designed for children aged 8–11. The safety, privacy and wellbeing of every child using our platform is our highest priority.
1. Our Commitment
StageX Academy is built for children aged 8–11 preparing for the 11+ exam. We take our responsibility to keep children safe online extremely seriously.
- •Providing a safe, age-appropriate learning environment
- •Collecting only the minimum data necessary about children
- •Never using children's data for advertising or commercial purposes
- •Giving parents full visibility and control over their child's account
- •Responding promptly to any safeguarding concerns
2. How Children Access the Platform
Children cannot self-register. Every child account must be created by a parent or guardian aged 18 or over. The parent registers first, then adds their child's profile.
Children access the platform using a friendly auto-generated username and a 4-digit PIN set by the parent (stored as a hash, never in plain text).
Children have no ability to modify account settings, make purchases, or contact other users.
3. What Data We Collect About Children
We collect the absolute minimum needed to provide the educational service:
- •Auto-generated display nickname (not the child's real name)
- •Age group and exam type
- •Target exam date
- •Practice test results, scores and progress data
- •AI tutor interactions (educational responses only)
We do not collect the child's real name, photos, location, school name, or contact information. Children's data is never used for advertising or shared commercially. See our Privacy Policy.
4. Parental Controls
Parents have full control at all times:
- •View progress: See every test result, score, and topic practised
- •Export data: Download all child data at any time
- •Delete data: Request full deletion of the child's account and data
- •Change PIN: Reset login PIN at any time from account settings
- •Cancel: Close the account and request data deletion at any time
These controls are available in account settings or by emailing contact@stagexacademy.com. We respond within 30 days, aiming for 5 working days.
5. Content Safety
StageX Academy is a closed educational platform. There is:
- •No social or chat features — children cannot communicate with other users
- •No user-generated content — children cannot upload or post anything
- •No advertising — children are never shown adverts of any kind
- •No external links — the platform does not link children to external websites
Our AI tutor (Lumi) is constrained to provide 11+ exam support only. All educational content is reviewed for age-appropriateness before publication.

6. Reporting a Concern
⚠️ If a child is in immediate danger, call 999.
For non-emergency safeguarding concerns, contact the NSPCC helpline: 0808 800 5000.
For concerns specifically about your child's experience on StageX Academy:

We treat all safeguarding concerns as urgent and aim to respond within 1 working day.
