Why the format matters as much as the content

How many mock tests should my child sit before the 11+?
As many as they can without burning out. Aim for at least one full timed paper per week in the final two to three months. Quality of review matters more than quantity — always go through what went wrong.
Are GL and CEM mock tests very different?
